📋 Description

• The M&A Associate, AI Residency (Part-time) role at Aptura Inc. is a unique opportunity to apply real-world mergers and acquisitions expertise to improve how frontier AI models reason about corporate finance, directly contributing to the training of advanced AI systems used in investment banking and capital markets.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include generating, refining, and evaluating M&A-related content such as deal pitches, valuation analyses, due diligence materials, and board presentations to help train AI models in understanding complex financial transactions and professional judgment.
• Aptura Inc. is a London- and San Francisco-based company founded by ex-Lazard and Partners Group professionals, specializing in bridging human financial expertise with AI model development to enhance AI reasoning in high-stakes domains like corporate finance.
• In this role, you will gain rare early access to how AI labs develop and refine models, deepen your understanding of AI training processes in finance, and contribute to cutting-edge research that improves AI’s ability to simulate professional M&A analysis and decision-making.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in M&A advisory at a recognized advisory firm (bulge bracket, elite boutique, or top-tier Big 4 Corporate Finance)
• Associate level with hands-on deal execution experience
• Deep expertise in buy-side and sell-side M&A, valuation, and due diligence coordination
• Strong financial modeling skills (incl. DCF, LBO, trading comps, precedent transactions) and comfort with CIMs, management presentations, and board materials
• Ability to articulate M&A judgment clearly and precisely in writing
