- • As a strategic partner, Riveron provides hands-on support through every stage of a transaction, from diligence and structuring through integration and exit.
- • Our M&A Tax services include buy-side and sell-side due diligence, domestic and cross-border structuring, modeling of tax attributes, integration planning, bankruptcy and distressed transactions, and other deal-related advisory.
- • The M&A Tax Leader will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading Riveron’s national M&A Tax practice, overseeing MD-level professionals, expanding the firm’s market presence, and driving client impact.
- • Key responsibilities include leading the firm’s M&A Tax function, advising private equity firms and corporate clients on tax implications of acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and joint ventures, overseeing and leading due diligence, designing and implementing tax-efficient structures for complex domestic and cross-border transactions, collaborating with Riveron’s Transaction Services, Tax, Accounting Advisory, Restructuring, and Business Transformation teams to deliver integrated, cross-functional solutions, driving revenue growth by cultivating client relationships, originating opportunities, and expanding Riveron’s brand in the transaction tax space, leading and mentoring a team of MDs and senior professionals, ensuring strong execution, team development, and succession planning, and representing Riveron externally as a thought leader in M&A tax and deal advisory.
- • The ideal candidate will have a proven M&A Tax professional with a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of transactions, a strong leader who inspires and develops senior professionals, building teams that deliver exceptional results, a trusted advisor recognized for technical expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to simplify complex issues for executive decision-makers, and a relationship builder with strong external market credibility and the ability to generate new opportunities through a demonstrated network and track record of business development success.
- • The M&A Tax Leader will be directly responsible for overseeing MD-level professionals, expanding the firm’s market presence, and driving client impact.
- • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, a master’s in taxation, JD/LLM, or CPA license strongly preferred, 15+ years of progressive tax experience with a strong focus on M&A/transactions tax, background in transaction tax at Big 4, national advisory, or boutique transactions tax practice, extensive experience advising on buy-side and sell-side transactions, including domestic and cross-border deals, deep relationships with private equity firms and corporate executives, with proven ability to originate and grow client engagements, strong external market credibility, evidenced by client relationships, industry presence, and a demonstrable book of business, demonstrated track record of managing and mentoring senior professionals, and recognized as a thought leader or subject matter expert in transaction tax and deal structuring.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a master’s in taxation, JD/LLM, or CPA license strongly preferred.
- • 15+ years of progressive tax experience with a strong focus on M&A/transactions tax.
- • Background in transaction tax at Big 4, national advisory, or boutique transactions tax practice.
- • Extensive experience advising on buy-side and sell-side transactions, including domestic and cross-border deals.
