- • The Major Gifts Manager is a critical member of the Midwest Development Operations team at The Nature Conservancy, responsible for driving major gift fundraising success for two Midwest Business Units by building processes, managing donor pipelines, and ensuring strategic goal achievement.
- • Day to day, the role involves managing the major donor prospect pipeline, collaborating with the Global Development Prospect Management Team, researching and prioritizing prospects, overseeing data management, conducting advanced analyses using Power BI and Excel, organizing monthly pipeline meetings, and serving as a liaison to Global Development, state chapters, and international offices.
- • The team operates within The Nature Conservancy’s global conservation mission, working remotely from a home office in the Midwest (with preference for Wisconsin and Indiana) to protect lands and waters through science-based solutions, supported by a culture of inclusivity, flexibility, and mission-driven collaboration.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in major gift prospect management, data-driven fundraising strategy, cross-functional coordination, and process improvement, while gaining experience in budgeting, vendor negotiation, and leadership support within a mission-focused environmental organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination
- • Experience coordinating projects and generating reports with data analysis and interpretation
- • Experience working across departments and with current technology in the relevant field
- • Experience with fundraising systems, database management, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel
- • Ability to implement complex processes, use diplomacy and tact to build relationships, and manage multiple tasks with strong organization and attention to detail
