📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals through hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback.
• Assign and prioritize accounting tasks to meet service targets, deadlines, and departmental objectives.
• Communicate departmental policies, procedures, and strategic goals to ensure alignment across the team.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, including review of all financial statements.
• Oversee billing processes to verify accuracy and completeness of revenue recognition and invoicing.
• Ensure proper recording and documentation of liabilities, including accruals for unapproved invoices and prepaid expenses.
• Maintain strong internal controls, documentation standards, and segregation of duties across all accounting functions.
• Partner with internal and external audit teams to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash reconciliation processes, resolving discrepancies promptly and maintaining accurate cash position records.
• Review and approve all balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and supporting evidence for all account balances.
• Oversee revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606 standards.
• Manage accounting activities related to capitalized internal-use software, including tracking, capitalization, and amortization.
• Oversee lease accounting activities in accordance with ASC 842 guidelines.
• Manage prepaid expenses and related amortization schedules to ensure accurate expense recognition.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages for leadership review.
• Identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and compliance across accounting operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and technology to support organizational goals and provide consultative accounting support.
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and core values in all accounting activities.
• Operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment requiring simultaneous management of multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Interact regularly with internal leadership, external auditors, and key business stakeholders to drive financial accuracy and transparency.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6–8+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience managing or leading teams
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
