- • Manage the Biostatistics department by ensuring timely delivery of high-quality statistical outputs while adhering to contractual requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- • Oversee staff development, including setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, mentoring, coaching, and identifying training needs for biostatisticians.
- • Lead hiring, onboarding, transferring, and termination decisions for biostatistics team members, ensuring alignment with departmental needs and skill diversity.
- • Participate in the development and promotion of standardized departmental SOPs and guidelines to enhance efficiency and consistency across biostatistical operations.
- • Assign biostatisticians to projects based on their skills, experience, and training, maintaining optimal utilization rates and project fit.
- • Conduct senior-level reviews of statistical deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency with study protocols, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- • Maintain expert knowledge of clinical drug development, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements to serve as a technical mentor and trainer for biostatistics associates.
- • Prioritize and manage competing project demands across multiple studies or programs, resolving conflicts between teams or individuals to ensure operational continuity.
- • Support succession planning by identifying and cultivating talent within the biostatistics team to meet future business needs.
- • May lead or participate in cross-functional projects, departmental initiatives, or corporate programs to advance organizational objectives.
- • May contribute to business development activities, including client interactions and proposal support.
- • Minimal travel may be required to support project needs or organizational activities.

- • Proven experience managing a team of biostatisticians in a pharmaceutical or clinical research environment
- • Deep knowledge of clinical drug development processes and ICH regulatory guidelines
- • Demonstrated ability to develop, mentor, and retain statistical talent
- • Strong understanding of biostatistical methodologies and their application in clinical trials
- • Experience with SOP development and compliance in regulated environments
- • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and resolve operational conflicts
