- • As a Manager, Competitive Intelligence & AI Analysis, you will be at the forefront of shaping strategic business outcomes for Globalhr's Mission Systems division. This pivotal role involves a deep dive into market dynamics, customer behaviors, and competitor strategies, leveraging both primary and secondary research to deliver critical intelligence. Your primary objective will be to translate complex data into actionable recommendations that directly influence high-stakes campaigns and pursuits, ultimately increasing our probability of winning new business.
- • You will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive Competitive Intelligence (CI) plans. This includes conducting in-depth customer and competitor assessments, performing meticulous win-loss analyses, and synthesizing findings into clear, impactful recommendations. These insights will guide leadership decision-making across a diverse range of technology domains and market areas, ensuring our strategies are informed, agile, and effective.
- • A key aspect of this role is the innovative application of CI tools, methodologies, and best practices. You will be expected to demonstrate creativity and initiative, particularly in navigating ambiguity and structuring complex analytical challenges. Your ability to independently source, analyze, and synthesize market, customer, competitor, technology, and pricing intelligence will be crucial for success.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to serve as a thought leader in advancing the adoption and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) throughout the Business Development (BD) organization. You will explore and enable the use of AI capabilities to enhance competitive analysis, opportunity assessment, Price-to-Win (PTW) efforts, win strategy development, and proposal support, driving significant efficiency and effectiveness gains.
- • You will collaborate closely with Business Development leaders, Capture Managers, and Price-to-Win analysts, acting as a key partner in developing and executing integrated CI plans for major pursuits. Your role will ensure that CI insights are not only generated but also effectively captured, cataloged, and leveraged for future initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the enterprise.
- • Responsibilities include cultivating, implementing, and continuously improving CI best practices enterprise-wide. You will independently source, analyze, and synthesize various forms of intelligence into actionable insights, with a strong emphasis on identifying, leveraging, and enabling the adoption of AI capabilities within the BD organization.
- • You will develop and maintain robust CI databases, tools, and processes, ensuring that intelligence is captured, reusable, and broadly applicable to strategic initiatives and captures. This involves partnering with BD leaders and Capture Managers to craft and implement CI plans for priority pursuits.
- • The role demands the ability to conduct independent CI assessments and respond to ad hoc leadership requests, providing critical information to inform bid strategies and competitive positioning. You will lead and facilitate crucial reviews such as Competitive Positioning and Black Hat reviews, assessing competitive advantage and shaping win strategies.
- • Supporting Price-to-Win (PTW) analysts by estimating competitor offerings, solutions, and pricing approaches is another key function. You will be responsible for briefing senior leadership and key stakeholders on CI findings, identified risks, and strategic recommendations, ensuring clear communication and informed decision-making.
- • Leading post-submittal and post-award win-loss analyses is essential for evaluating the accuracy of previous assessments, identifying root causes of success or failure, and capturing valuable lessons learned to refine future strategies.
- • You will actively leverage internal and external intelligence networks, including participation in key tradeshows and industry events, to identify emerging competitive insights and maintain a pulse on the industry landscape.
- • This is a remote role, with a preference for individuals located in proximity to Cedar Rapids, IA, or Richardson, TX. While remote, you may be expected to travel up to 25% for business needs.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- • Proven experience supporting capture, campaign, or strategic growth activities within the U.S. Aerospace & Defense industry, including familiarity with major industry competitors and market dynamics.
- • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating cross-functional teams or workstreams in support of strategic initiatives, effectively driving inputs and deliverables across diverse organizations.
- • Strong experience in developing and delivering compelling briefings, analyses, or recommendations to senior leadership and decision-makers.
- • A solid track record of producing competitive intelligence or market-related analyses and deliverables (e.g., customer/competitor assessments, pricing/solution estimates, win-loss analyses) that have directly informed business or bid decisions.
- • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher is highly preferred.
- • Experience with business applications of AI technology, particularly in areas like competitive intelligence, opportunity evaluation, strategy, or proposal development, is a significant advantage.
