- • Lead Harvey’s end-to-end compliance programs, owning the strategy, execution, and scaling of certifications critical to expansion into regulated markets.
- • Build the business case and strategic roadmap for compliance investments, clearly articulating ROI, certification sequencing, and market opportunity to executive leadership.
- • Conduct gap assessments and compliance readiness evaluations across applicable frameworks, delivering maturity baselines and prioritized remediation roadmaps.
- • Select, onboard, and manage third-party assessors and compliance advisors, holding them accountable to timelines and escalating risks proactively.
- • Drive audit readiness by coordinating evidence collection, continuous monitoring, and audit documentation management with Engineering, Product Security, and Legal teams.
- • Serve as the authoritative internal voice during customer security reviews, RFP responses, and due diligence conversations regarding Harvey’s compliance posture.
- • Recruit, hire, and lead a small, high-impact compliance team, setting direction, developing talent, and scaling operations as Harvey’s global footprint grows.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Legal, Sales, and external government partners to embed compliance into product development and customer-facing processes.
- • Ensure compliance programs align with Harvey’s core values of Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job’s Not Finished, prioritizing action over perfection and clarity over complexity.
- • Implement efficiency gains by leveraging AI tools for evidence automation, gap analysis, and continuous monitoring of compliance controls.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulatory frameworks relevant to SaaS and PaaS platforms serving enterprise legal and professional services clients.
- • Translate complex compliance requirements into actionable, scalable processes that enable business growth without compromising security or trust.
- • Act as the primary liaison between Harvey and external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
- • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of compliance programs and report progress to senior leadership.
- • Proactively identify emerging compliance risks tied to AI-driven platforms and implement controls to mitigate them before they impact customers or operations.
- • Champion a culture of compliance as a business enabler, not a constraint, aligning program goals with Harvey’s mission to redefine professional services through AI.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years in information security or compliance, with 5+ years leading compliance programs for commercial SaaS or PaaS
- • Deep command of the compliance lifecycle — scoping, gap analysis, control documentation, assessment coordination, and continuous monitoring
- • Proven cross-functional influence at the senior level; able to drive compliance outcomes across Engineering, Product, Legal, and Sales without slowing the business
- • Track record selecting and managing third-party assessors and compliance advisory firms
- • Experience building and leading small teams in fast-paced environments, with a bias for hiring exceptional people and creating clarity from ambiguity
- • 1–2+ years using AI tools to improve program efficiency (evidence automation, gap analysis, continuous monitoring)
