- • Lead and coach a team of 5 Startup Contract Managers (4 in the U.S. and 1 in EMEA) responsible for renewals, contract negotiations, and commercial partnership conversations across Ashby’s customer base.
- • Up-level team performance through coaching in negotiation strategy, forecasting, customer communication, and stakeholder management, fostering a culture of empathy, accountability, creativity, and transparency.
- • Build scalable renewal processes, operational workflows, and systems that improve efficiency while preserving a high-touch customer experience during commercial transitions.
- • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Product, RevOps, Legal, Finance, and Support to align on customer strategy, pricing governance, and long-term commercial outcomes.
- • Drive consistency in renewal execution, forecasting accuracy, CRM hygiene, and pricing discipline across the team to ensure reliable commercial outcomes.
- • Support the team in navigating complex negotiations involving procurement teams, legal counsel, executive stakeholders, pricing transitions, and multi-product commercial agreements.
- • Translate successful negotiation patterns and customer insights into repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and enablement materials for broader organizational adoption.
- • Shape the long-term vision and operational strategy for the Contract Management function as Ashby scales upmarket and evolves its commercial model.
- • Maintain operational rigor through data-driven decision-making, using trends, customer insights, and metrics to improve team performance and customer retention.
- • Balance customer advocacy with business integrity by empathizing with customer needs while confidently protecting Ashby’s long-term commercial interests.
- • Foster a problem-solving orientation by adapting processes dynamically in response to ambiguous or evolving commercial scenarios, avoiding rigid or outdated approaches.
- • Promote strong internal systems, accurate forecasting, clean data, and scalable process design to enable team effectiveness at scale.
- • Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership across functions, contributing to how Ashby approaches renewals, customer growth, and commercial partnership planning.
- • Model excellent customer and executive communication by navigating challenging conversations with clarity, professionalism, and transparency to build trust with both internal and external stakeholders.
- • Encourage continuous learning by treating every customer interaction and negotiation as an opportunity for team development and skill enhancement.
- • Contribute to building the future of the Contract Management organization by actively shaping its structure, tools, and culture as Ashby grows.
