- • Manager, Corporate Accounting & Compliance at NerdWallet, responsible for owning key general ledger areas including compensation, leases, accruals, and consolidations, and playing a critical role in month-end close, internal reporting, and audit readiness.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading end-to-end accounting for assigned GL areas, managing close timelines, identifying automation opportunities, serving as primary auditor contact, supporting M&A integration, managing and mentoring 2–3 accountants, and partnering cross-functionally with FP&A, Financial Systems, HRIS, Legal, and business stakeholders.

- • In this role, you will develop deep ownership of complex accounting processes, drive execution and scalability, leverage automation and AI to modernize operations, lead audit and controls, support M&A integration, mentor a team, and build a path toward owning the full month-end close over time.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
- • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including external audit and operational accounting in a public company environment
- • Prior people management experience (1–2+ years)
- • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls (SOX)
- • Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite)
- • Preferred: Experience with Oracle Fusion, M&A integration, automation and AI tools in accounting, and background in Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting
