đź“‹ Description
- • Own end-to-end operational execution of Docker’s global event portfolio, including flagship conferences, developer roadshows, digital events, and community activations, ensuring all programs run on schedule, on budget, and aligned with internal goals.
- • Maintain and update a master event calendar that coordinates timing, resourcing, and dependencies across multiple concurrent events to prevent conflicts and optimize team alignment.
- • Manage event registration systems, attendee experience workflows, lead capture processes, and badging across all events, ensuring seamless data flow into marketing and sales platforms.
- • Build, refine, and document scalable operational playbooks, planning templates, and run-of-show frameworks to standardize execution and reduce complexity as the event portfolio grows.
- • Own and manage the full event technology stack, including registration platforms, mobile apps, and lead retrieval tools, ensuring integration with Salesforce, Marketo, and other CRM and marketing automation systems.
- • Lead vendor and agency management across venues, production partners, shipping logistics, and onsite services, including contract negotiation, budget tracking, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation.
- • Manage end-to-end event budgets: create purchase orders, track expenditures, reconcile invoices, and deliver post-event financial reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
- • Partner daily with Product Marketing, Developer Relations, Field Marketing, and Sales teams to translate program objectives into clear operational plans and ensure consistent execution across functions.
- • Operationalize developer-focused initiatives such as roadshows and community activations, creating frameworks that enable expansion into new markets without increasing operational overhead.
- • Track and report on event KPIs and pipeline/ROI metrics, lead handoff accuracy, and sales conversion rates through structured post-event debriefs and data-driven insights.
- • Provide operational and logistical support to Field Marketing for regional events, third-party sponsorships, and sponsored booth activations, including fulfillment of sponsorship deliverables and on-site presence logistics.
- • Audit existing event processes within the first 30 days to identify risks in timelines, budgets, and handoffs, then implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- • Deliver at least one flagship event or roadshow end-to-end within the first 90 days, meeting all operational benchmarks for timing, budget adherence, lead capture, and sales handoff.
- • Establish a recurring post-event debrief and KPI reporting cadence that informs future planning, budget allocation, and strategic investment decisions.
- • Scale the event operations function to support portfolio growth over one year, maintaining consistent quality and reliability without adding complexity or additional headcount.
- • Serve as the operational backbone for all event and field marketing activities, ensuring teams have clear, repeatable systems to execute high-quality developer experiences globally.

- • Familiarity with event and marketing tech stacks (registration platforms, lead retrieval, mobile apps) and integration with Salesforce and Marketo
- • Experience building scalable operational frameworks, playbooks, or templates to enable event program growth
- • Developer, technical, or enterprise event experience preferred; background in SaaS, developer platforms, cloud, or technology companies is an advantage
