- • Lead and develop a new team of 8 Business Development Associates based in New York City, managing the full employee lifecycle from hiring to performance evaluation.
- • Drive revenue growth by expanding new business pipelines within the advisory sector, including legal, financial, and consulting firms, with a focus on securing high-impact VDR deals.
- • Set, track, and report on operational and business development metrics, presenting performance insights directly to the VP of Sales and executive leadership.
- • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with advisory firms to strengthen Ideals’ position as the premier Virtual Data Room (VDR) provider in North America.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Finance teams to align on customer lifecycle objectives and improve go-to-market execution.
- • Utilize sales data and analytics to forecast accurately, identify market trends, and inform strategic planning for the advisory vertical.
- • Represent Ideals at industry events and in high-stakes client interactions across the New York area and beyond, embodying company values and brand standards.
- • Stay current on competitive landscape, market dynamics, and industry best practices in B2B SaaS and VDR solutions to guide team strategy and positioning.
- • Mentor sales professionals using proven methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Challenger to improve deal velocity and win rates.
- • Scale sales operations by defining hiring profiles, onboarding processes, and performance standards for the field sales team.
- • Achieve ambitious revenue targets through a compensation structure of 50% base salary and 50% performance-based variable pay, with an OTE of $270K–$320K.
- • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional client experiences through cutting-edge VDR and Board collaboration platforms used in M&A, fundraising, licensing, and clinical trials.
- • Maintain deep understanding of M&A workflows and the unique pain points of advisory clients to tailor sales approaches and product positioning.
- • Foster a culture of commitment, excellence, collaboration, trust, and care within the team, aligning daily actions with Ideals’ core values.
- • Leverage top-tier tech and AI-powered tools provided by the company to enhance productivity and client engagement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4-year university degree (bachelor’s)
- • 5+ years of hands-on B2B new business development and closing experience, including selling across multiple geographic areas
- • 2+ years of outbound sales management experience leading teams of 4+ employees
- • Professional background in B2B SaaS with experience managing high-velocity, high-volume sales strategies
- • Solid experience applying transactional sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Challenger
- • Profound leadership skills with strong verbal and written communication in English
