Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the West Region Last Mile Rental (LMR) van-pool program for a 10,000+ vehicle national fleet, translating strategy into daily execution that keeps drivers on the road and clients delighted.
  • • Drive end-to-end program performance—revenue, cost, risk, and customer satisfaction—by turning data into decisions that move the needle every week.
  • • Orchestrate the full vehicle life-cycle: from factory pickup, inspection, and remediation through preventative maintenance, registration renewals, warranty work, and final redeployment, ensuring every unit is compliant, safe, and revenue-ready.
  • • Lead a distributed team of 2–3 direct reports and ~50 field, shop, and logistics professionals; coach, mentor, and hold them accountable to KPIs while fostering a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • • Partner with Technology Solutions to evolve the LMR digital platform—identify pain points, prioritize enhancements, and champion user adoption that slashes cycle time and boosts transparency.
  • • Manage a network of third-party vendors for mechanical and body repairs; negotiate scope, cost, and turnaround while monitoring quality and warranty compliance.
  • • Monitor real-time transportation logistics to guarantee on-time delivery and retrieval of vehicles to 25+ LMR stations across the West; pivot quickly when weather, traffic, or supply-chain disruptions threaten service levels.
  • • Translate client feedback into actionable insights; represent the LMR organization in quarterly business reviews, presenting metrics, success stories, and improvement roadmaps to senior leadership and Fortune 500 clients.
  • • Build and maintain relationships with DMV offices, OEM partners, and insurance carriers to streamline licensing, titling, and claims processes.
  • • Champion safety and compliance—audit maintenance records, enforce DOT standards, and ensure every driver has a road-ready vehicle.
  • • Develop annual operating plans and budgets; track variances, forecast demand, and implement cost-containment initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • • Travel 25–50 % across the western U.S. to inspect sites, coach teams, and strengthen client partnerships; maintain a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays when program needs spike.
  • • Leverage advanced Excel and Power BI to build dashboards that turn fleet telematics, financial, and customer data into clear narratives for executives and frontline teams.
  • • Pilot new sustainability initiatives—EV integration, route optimization, and carbon-reduction pilots—that align with Element’s ESG commitments and client mandates.
  • • Serve as the escalation point for high-priority incidents; coordinate cross-functional response teams to restore service and protect the client experience.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree plus 1–3 years managing rental or fleet operations with deep knowledge of repair, maintenance, inventory, and customer service.
  • • 3–5 years of B2B client account management or customer service experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) strongly preferred.
  • • Ability to drive and be on your feet up to 8 hours; must hold a valid driver’s license and be available on weekends and some holidays.
  • • Convenient access to a major airport in the western U.S. to support 25–50 % travel across multiple states.
  • • Nice-to-have: hands-on experience managing large commercial van fleets, intermediate mechanical knowledge of delivery vehicles, and familiarity with automotive supply-chain logistics.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive base salary range of $98,200–$135,000 annually, with actual compensation aligned to experience, performance, and market data.
  • • Comprehensive health and welfare benefits—medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage—designed to support you and your family.
  • • Robust paid time-off program including vacation, sick leave, and company holidays, plus flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.
  • • A culture of innovation, empowerment, and accountability where your ideas directly shape the future of fleet mobility.
