  • • As the Manager, Pricing Strategy & Analytics at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing pricing strategies across our extensive network of plasma donation centers. This dynamic position merges sophisticated analytical capabilities with direct operational responsibility for pricing decisions, aiming to optimize donor engagement and operational efficiency.
  • • Your core mission will involve delving into the intricate relationship between pricing, incentives, and donor behavior. You will meticulously analyze donor patterns, demand fluctuations, and cost structures to pinpoint lucrative pricing opportunities and formulate optimal incentive strategies that drive desired outcomes. This role is crucial for understanding the nuances of our marketplace and translating complex data into clear, actionable pricing recommendations.
  • • A significant aspect of your responsibility will be the rigorous evaluation of pricing and promotional initiatives. You will employ structured analytical frameworks and experimentation methodologies, including A/B testing and pricing pilots, to precisely measure their impact on donor response rates, acquisition, retention, and overall cost efficiency. This data-driven approach ensures that our pricing strategies are not only effective but also financially sound.
  • • You will conduct in-depth price elasticity analysis and sophisticated scenario modeling. This will enable you to thoroughly understand the trade-offs inherent in different pricing levels, their effect on donor volume, and the subsequent impact on cost outcomes. By forecasting potential scenarios, you will provide critical insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • • Developing robust forecasting models will be key to projecting donor behavior and the anticipated impact of pricing adjustments. These models will be instrumental in supporting weekly and monthly operational planning, ensuring that BioLife is agile and responsive to market dynamics.
  • • Beyond analysis, you will be instrumental in the strategic design and execution of experiments. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, implement, and rigorously evaluate pilots and tests designed to identify the most effective incentive structures and pricing models.
  • • You will be responsible for building and refining robust processes to enhance the efficiency of generating weekly business insights. This focus on operational excellence ensures that critical information is delivered promptly and reliably to stakeholders.
  • • A crucial part of this role involves close partnership with our Data Science team. You will collaborate to operationalize analytical models, ensure their scalability across our platform, and rigorously validate their performance metrics. This ensures that our analytical tools are both powerful and practical.
  • • You will directly own the operational execution of pricing updates. This includes managing backend pricing configurations and meticulously ensuring that all pricing changes are implemented accurately and according to schedule. This hands-on responsibility bridges the gap between strategic recommendations and real-world application.
  • • Your technical expertise will be paramount, requiring hands-on experience with SQL and Python for analyzing large-scale datasets and deriving actionable business insights. You should be comfortable applying advanced pricing analytics techniques, including demand modeling, price elasticity analysis, promotion effectiveness evaluation, and forecasting.
  • • You will work comfortably across diverse data environments, including SQL databases, Databricks or similar platforms, and Excel, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership, a delivery-oriented mindset, and an unwavering attention to detail.
  • • This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex pricing and demand challenges using data and analytical thinking, possessing a deep curiosity about how incentives, pricing adjustments, and promotions influence customer or donor behavior. You will take full ownership of outcomes, ensuring that analytical insights are translated into timely and accurate execution of pricing strategies, making a tangible impact on BioLife's success.
