- • Take full ownership of specific dental product categories, managing all aspects of their performance to drive significant growth in sales and market share.
- • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for both branded and private label products within your assigned categories, identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement.
- • Spearhead the new product introduction process, from initial submission review to final launch, ensuring all necessary supplier information is gathered and analyzed for timely decision-making.
- • Make critical decisions on product acceptance or rejection, and determine optimal pricing, sales forecasts, and initial order quantities for new items.
- • Oversee the creation of new item codes, detailed web attributes, compelling product descriptions, and engaging catalog copy to maximize product visibility and appeal.
- • Collaborate closely with suppliers to craft and implement effective promotional plans that guarantee successful product launches and sustained market presence.
- • Manage the selection of products and pricing for all flyers and promotional materials relevant to your product categories, working with associates to finalize layouts and spreadsheets.
- • Negotiate favorable buying deals with suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and implementation with the Inventory Management team to optimize stock levels.
- • Conduct thorough reviews of marketing product classifications and item descriptions to maintain the highest standards of product content integrity across all platforms.
- • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of product classifications, item descriptions, and images on the company's e-commerce platforms and internal systems.
- • Review and approve product recommendations from SKU Optimization initiatives, making informed decisions on stocking status, non-stocking, and inventory returns.
- • Lead the strategic layout and presentation of your assigned categories within the annual Henry Schein Dental and all Specialty Catalogs and Flyers, ensuring maximum impact and clarity.
- • Perform in-depth competitive pricing analysis to establish optimal selling prices for all products within your categories, balancing market competitiveness with profitability.
- • Actively participate in special projects and undertake additional duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to broader business objectives.
- • Manage and mentor a direct report, fostering their development and ensuring high performance in their responsibilities.
- • Analyze sales and market share data to identify underperforming categories and develop targeted plans to boost performance.
- • Provide strategic guidance on the addition and development of private brand products, aligning with overall category strategy.
