- • Lead the end-to-end revenue recognition process in compliance with ASC 606, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for Mapbox’s real-time location platform used by over 4 million developers.
- • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities, including revenue review, journal entries, accruals, variance analysis, and reconciliations related to AR, revenue, and commissions.
- • Design and implement scalable order-to-cash processes and systems, identifying opportunities to enhance accuracy and efficiency through automation or systems upgrades (e.g., AI tools, ERP, CRM) while maintaining compliance.
- • Partner with the Technical Revenue Team to review and interpret complex customer contracts, ensuring technical revenue conclusions are accurately reflected in invoicing workflows and revenue recognition schedules within Netsuite ARM.
- • Participate in cross-functional contract reviews with Deal Desk, Legal, and Sales to guide and educate on revenue recognition and billing model impacts for new deals and offerings.
- • Develop, manage, and mentor a team of revenue accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to build a high-performing team.
- • Prepare audit-ready documentation and support external audits, while monitoring and improving internal controls related to revenue.
- • Coordinate with FP&A for revenue forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic financial planning.
🎯 Requirements
- • BS in Accounting or Finance
- • CPA License
- • 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment
- • Prior experience with Netsuite, Stripe, and Salesforce preferred
- • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to meet business-critical deadlines

- • Annual base compensation ranging from $28,350 to $173,650 for most US locations, with 5% to 10% higher for higher cost-of-labor areas
