- • Lead a team of software engineers responsible for developing and maintaining mobile applications that support patients using the Zio cardiac monitoring device.
- • Provide technical leadership across the full software stack, including mobile applications (iOS and Android), back-end web services, data management, and outbound email and push notification systems.
- • Recruit, manage, coach, and motivate high-performing software engineering teams in a regulated medical device environment.
- • Collaborate closely with product owners and user experience engineers to define product features, prioritize roadmaps, and align engineering efforts with patient needs.
- • Partner with technical project managers, software QA, quality engineers, and regulatory specialists to execute project plans predictably and in compliance with medical device standards.
- • Enforce high standards for software quality, reliability, maintainability, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- • Design and execute deployment strategies to multiple environments (lower environments and production) with minimal and predictable impact on end users.
- • Contribute to documentation required under controlled software development processes for regulatory audits and compliance.
- • Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, assess impact, and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure system stability and patient safety.
- • Drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment focused on improving cardiac health outcomes globally.
- • Ensure all software development practices adhere to FDA and international regulatory requirements for medical devices.
- • Translate business and clinical requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant technical solutions for US and international markets.
- • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and patient-centered innovation within the engineering team.
- • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry best practices in mobile development, cloud architecture, and regulated software systems.
- • Serve as a key technical liaison between engineering, regulatory, quality, and clinical teams to ensure alignment on product goals and compliance obligations.
