• • Own the end-to-end data integrity strategy for one of North America’s largest automotive retailers. As Manager, Technical Data Analysis you will lead a distributed team of analysts who safeguard the accuracy, lineage, and governance of every byte that powers Lithia & Driveway’s enterprise decisions. Your leadership directly influences pricing algorithms, inventory forecasting, lending risk models, and customer-360 initiatives that touch millions of vehicle owners.
• • Build and mentor a high-performing team. Recruit, coach, and retain top-tier Technical Data Analysts working across time zones. Establish clear career paths, quarterly OKRs, and a culture of continuous learning that turns junior analysts into Snowflake power-users and SQL storytellers.
• • Translate complex business questions into rock-solid data requirements. Partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and UX Designers to elicit, document, and prioritize data needs for new vehicle-acquisition platforms, digital retailing features, and financing products. Your concise requirement docs become the blueprint for scalable pipelines.
• • Champion enterprise data quality and validation frameworks. Design automated test suites, anomaly-detection rules, and lineage checks that run inside Azure Synapse and Snowflake. Reduce data-incident resolution time by 50 % within your first year through proactive monitoring and clear escalation playbooks.
• • Govern metadata and business glossary in Microsoft Purview. Own the curation of technical and semantic metadata, ensuring every column, table, and report is discoverable, understandable, and trustworthy. Drive adoption of Purview across 20+ engineering squads and 100+ business users.
• • Act as the final escalation point for thorny data discrepancies. When finance sees one number and operations sees another, you swoop in with SQL forensics, root-cause analysis, and a remediation plan that restores confidence in our dashboards.
• • Continuously improve processes, tools, and communication. Introduce agile data-ops rituals, peer-review checklists, and Slack-based triage channels that shrink cycle times and amplify team happiness. Pilot new features in dbt, Great Expectations, or Monte Carlo and scale what works.
• • Plan capacity and forecast hiring needs. Use Jira, Looker, and your own forecasting models to balance sprint velocity against an ever-growing backlog of data sources—from EV charging networks to subscription telematics feeds.
• • Foster a knowledge-sharing culture across Lithia & Driveway. Host weekly “Data Deep-Dives,” publish internal blogs, and run guilds that demystify automotive retail concepts for technologists and tech concepts for business stakeholders.
• • Ensure compliance and security standards are baked into every dataset. Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and InfoSec to classify PII, enforce retention policies, and pass SOX, PCI, and CCPA audits without last-minute fire drills.
• • Translate insights into executive narratives. Package your team’s findings into crisp slide decks that enable C-suite leaders to green-light multi-million-dollar initiatives with confidence.
