- • Lead, mentor, and oversee an agile software development team to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products across the enterprise.
- • Set clear goals, define roles and responsibilities, and establish a collaborative, motivating work environment for software development staff.
- • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines; develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery.
- • Provide technical guidance on software architecture, coding standards, and troubleshooting of complex technical issues to support the development team.
- • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development and apply them to improve team performance and product quality.
- • Foster professional growth by mentoring, coaching, and identifying training needs to help team members enhance skills and advance their careers.
- • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the development team and with cross-functional stakeholders including product owners and business leaders.
- • Ensure adherence to software development best practices including code reviews, testing strategies, and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards for performance and reliability.
- • Identify potential risks in software projects, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables.
- • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by collecting feedback, analyzing metrics, and implementing changes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- • Direct staff to ensure all duties are performed in alignment with department performance standards and organizational policies.
- • Manage full lifecycle HR functions for the team including interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation decisions, counseling, and terminations.
- • Develop and maintain staff through targeted training and leadership initiatives to enable internal growth and advancement.
- • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide regular project updates, and address concerns to build strong working relationships.
- • Ensure compliance with all internal processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements applicable to software development and team management.
- • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives and team success.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- • Seven years of experience in a software development role or as a developer subject matter expert
- • Three years of resource management experience
- • Five years in a senior or subject matter expert position
- • Experienced in mentoring teams on Agile best practices
- • Experience in the financial industry or another highly regulated industry is a plus
