- • The Managing Actuary provides leadership and direction to ensure team goals and strategies are successfully achieved, playing a critical role in shaping financial outcomes for Medicaid and healthcare programs.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading pricing, forecasting, reserving, and actuarial processes; developing key assumptions; evaluating financial experience and trend drivers; managing actuarial models for bid pricing, rate filings, and forecasting; owning actuarial processes with internal teams and external vendors; performing baseline analysis on rate changes; and overseeing IBNR reserve estimates for all lines of business on a monthly basis.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
- • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) certification required
- • Medicaid Rate Advocacy experience highly preferred
- • 2–3+ years of management experience preferred
- • 2–3+ years of actuarial experience preferred
- • Strong database experience (SQL, SAS, or Access) preferred
