- • Conduct thorough vehicle condition inspections on dealer and client lots as a member of the Manheim mobile inspections team.
- • Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles safely on client premises while adhering to safety protocols.
- • Verify and accurately enter vehicle identification information into the inspection system, including VIN, mileage, and sub-series details.
- • Document vehicle equipment, options, damage, missing components, and inoperable systems during inspections.
- • Inspect and record exterior vehicle conditions including tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components.
- • Inspect and record interior vehicle conditions including seats, dashboard, and installed options.
- • Perform basic mechanical checks on powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical systems.
- • Prepare and submit daily activity reports to management using designated reporting tools.
- • Adapt flexibly to changing daily appointment schedules to maximize efficiency and coverage across dealer lots.
- • Proactively engage with clients to build trust, demonstrate the value of Manheim Marketplace services, and encourage increased inventory submissions.
- • Leverage data and insights from partners to optimize the volume and quality of inspections conducted on dealer lots.
- • Represent Cox Automotive as a brand ambassador by delivering a premier client experience during all on-site interactions.
- • Collaborate closely with Wholesale Specialist teams, peers, and other Manheim workgroups and auctions to ensure seamless operations.
- • Utilize SalesForce.com for reporting, lead input, and customer performance reviews.
- • Apply knowledge of NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy during inspections.
- • Operate within a continuous improvement/Lean environment and actively contribute to driving lean culture practices.
- • Meet production expectations set by leadership while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- • Demonstrate commitment to safety by following all health and safety procedures and actively participating in safety initiatives.
- • Maintain physical ability to lift and hold at least 30 lbs. at waist level for extended periods.
- • Regularly stand, walk, talk, hear, crouch, bend, kneel, reach, and maneuver under or around vehicles during inspections.
- • Possess near vision acuity to detect dings, scratches, paint imperfections, hail damage, frame/unibody issues, and interior defects.
- • Work effectively under varying lighting conditions, including natural and artificial light, both exterior and interior.
- • Function independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability and productivity.
- • Possess strong technical aptitude and ability to navigate handheld and digital documentation devices.
- • Demonstrate detail orientation in all aspects of inspection documentation and client interaction.
- • Follow directions, multitask, and take instruction accurately to meet business requirements.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required
- • Reliable transportation required (100% travel within region)
- • Ability to lift and hold at least 30 lbs. at waist level for extended periods
- • Near vision ability to identify exterior and interior damage and colors
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
