📋 Description

• As a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer on the SIMBA Team at Speechify Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of AI-powered voice agents that operate in 71+ languages with sub-second latency, directly impacting customer satisfaction and product trust.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing detailed manual test plans and test cases, performing hands-on testing across browsers and devices, collaborating with engineering and product teams to identify and document defects, maintaining organized QA documentation, participating in Agile ceremonies, and continuously improving test coverage and communication.
• You will join a forward-deployed, customer-embedded team that works closely with clients to build, iterate, and deploy voice AI solutions, operating in a fast-moving startup environment where ownership and impact are high.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in manual QA methodologies, gain exposure to cutting-edge voice AI technology, strengthen your cross-functional collaboration skills, and contribute to product quality at scale while working remotely from anywhere globally.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing, with a strong focus on Web applications
• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals including test planning, test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, and bug reporting
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating cross functionally with engineering and product teams
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to isolate root causes and communicate issues clearly
• Strong written communication skills, especially when documenting defects and test results
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Linear, or similar bug tracking/project management systems
• Experience using browser developer tools to assist with debugging and issue reproduction
