  • • Lead and directly manage a small team of manufacturing engineers overseeing a product line or distinct value-stream within manufacturing at Anduril Industries.
  • • Own the manufacturing readiness of new products through New Product Introduction (NPI) and into sustained production, ensuring processes, work instructions, test coverage, and tooling are mature enough to scale.
  • • Balance team capacity between NPI and sustaining production while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the U.S. and Australia.
  • • Run weekly one-on-one and team meetings, set prioritization focus, coordinate team scheduling, and provide concise status reporting to leadership.
  • • Mentor and support junior manufacturing engineers, serving as a role model for manufacturing excellence and technical rigor.
  • • Deliver escalations to management with well-informed risk mitigation plans, clear blockers, and specific help needed to maintain production timelines.
  • • Develop and execute strategic plans for manufacturing capacity, optimization, and long-term scalability of production systems.
  • • Set standards for the creation, review, and approval of technical drawings, blueprints, and process maps to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • • Oversee the execution of manufacturing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • • Coordinate with Design, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to enable smooth production ramp-up for new products and resolve cross-functional bottlenecks.
  • • Maintain hands-on technical credibility by regularly working on the manufacturing floor, building, debugging, or repairing hardware in a production environment.
  • • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, increase efficiencies, and enhance quality across existing and emerging manufacturing processes.
  • • Ensure adherence to manufacturing engineering best practices and demonstrate strong product ownership throughout the product lifecycle.
  • • Support the scaling of manufacturing operations from prototype to high-volume, high-mix production for ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs).

🎯 Requirements

  • • Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science
  • • 7+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware
  • • 3+ years of demonstrated direct team leadership with backing examples
  • • Demonstrated track record of leading teams through aggressive timelines and resource trade-offs to deliver hardware without compromising quality
  • • Hands-on technical credibility with personal experience building, debugging, or repairing hardware in a production environment
  • • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities
  • • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
