📋 Description

• • As a Manufacturing Test Engineer on OpenAI’s Stargate team, you will own the development of manufacturing test strategies, tools, and execution practices for critical AI infrastructure hardware, ensuring that systems shipped into OpenAI environments are testable, reliable, and production-ready at scale.
• • You will translate product and system requirements into manufacturing test coverage, design and deploy test stations and automation, and partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to identify, root-cause, and eliminate yield issues and field escapes.
• • The Stargate organization builds the physical infrastructure powering frontier AI systems at massive scale, operating across the full lifecycle from hardware and manufacturing through deployment and sustained production, with a lean, hands-on approach that emphasizes cross-boundary ownership and proactive issue prevention.
• • You will work at the intersection of hardware engineering, manufacturing partners, infrastructure systems, and deployment teams, gaining deep experience in end-to-end hardware validation, test automation, and quality assurance for AI-scale systems while influencing partner processes and driving continuous improvement in test efficiency and product quality.
