- • The Marketing Manager, Institutional Events role supports the planning and execution of marketing events that drive awareness, engagement, and demand for Cengage and its products, directly contributing to learner success and company growth.
- • Day to day, the person will execute assigned aspects of marketing events including conferences, webinars, field events, sponsored events, and hosted experiences; participate in developing event concepts and audience targeting; coordinate logistics such as booking, travel, hospitality, and on-site needs; support budget tracking and ROI monitoring in SFDC; oversee vendor coordination and event production activities; and monitor third-party resources while exercising independent judgment within supervisory guidelines.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a similar area, or equivalent professional experience
- • Typically requires 2+ years of dynamically complex experience in event marketing, field marketing, or a related subject area
- • Working knowledge of event marketing and experiential marketing concepts, including event planning, coordination, and managing activities on location
- • Ability to manage multiple event workstreams and resolve problems or roadblocks as they arise
- • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage urgent, time-sensitive projects, timelines, vendors, and budgets
- • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to deliver event objectives
