Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Design advanced mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
- • Create deterministic problems that have exactly one verifiable correct answer, ensuring technical precision and reproducibility
- • Develop problems that test genuine mathematical understanding, not rote memorization or pattern recognition
- • Write complete, verified solutions for every problem, including step-by-step reasoning and logical justifications
- • Document the solution process clearly in English, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for AI training pipelines
- • Use Python and computational libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy, pandas) to build and validate mathematical workflows where applicable
- • Ensure all problem sets are technically rigorous and aligned with real-world mathematical research and problem-solving workflows
- • Contribute to high-quality STEM training data used directly in training and evaluation pipelines at leading AI laboratories
- • Maintain strict adherence to problem specifications: no ambiguity, no multiple solutions, no open-ended prompts
- • Collaborate remotely with a distributed team to refine problem design and validate output quality
- • Deliver consistent, high-fidelity outputs within a 20-hour weekly commitment over a 2-month contract period
- • Prepare and submit all deliverables with meticulous attention to detail, including formatting, notation, and logical flow
- • Adapt problem complexity to challenge state-of-the-art AI systems without relying on computational brute force
- • Ensure all mathematical content is original and avoids publicly available or textbook-style problems
- • Maintain clear communication regarding progress, challenges, and deliverables throughout the project duration
- • Be available for immediate start and capable of meeting tight deadlines for iterative problem batch submissions
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience involving mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
- • Strong Python skills; comfort with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
- • Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
- • Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
🏖️ Benefits
- • Compensation of up to 40 USD per hour
- • Contract-based, part-time engagement at 20 hours per week
- • Project duration of 2 months with potential for extension
- • Remote work arrangement with flexible scheduling within weekly commitment
