📋 Description
- • Design advanced mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
- • Create deterministic problems that have exactly one verifiable correct answer, ensuring technical precision and reproducibility
- • Develop original problems that test mathematical reasoning beyond memorization, mirroring real-world research and computational workflows
- • Write complete, verified solutions for each problem, including clear, step-by-step documentation of the reasoning process
- • Use Python and specialized computational tools (e.g., numpy, scipy, pandas) to build and validate mathematical workflows where applicable
- • Ensure all problem statements and solutions are technically accurate, well-structured, and written in clear, professional English
- • Contribute to high-quality STEM training datasets used directly in AI training and evaluation pipelines at leading AI labs
- • Collaborate remotely to deliver problem sets that challenge state-of-the-art AI systems in mathematical domains
- • Maintain strict adherence to problem design standards: no ambiguity, no multiple solutions, no open-ended prompts
- • Deliver work on schedule within a 2-month contract period, with potential for extension based on performance and project needs
- • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of technical rigor and clarity
- • Align problem complexity with the capabilities of cutting-edge AI models, ensuring problems are challenging but solvable by human experts
- • Review and refine problem sets based on internal feedback to improve quality and alignment with AI evaluation goals
- • Document all assumptions, constraints, and computational methods used in problem creation for auditability and reproducibility
- • Ensure all outputs are free of errors in notation, logic, and mathematical derivation
- • Contribute to the broader mission of improving AI reasoning through rigorously designed mathematical content
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience in mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
- • Strong Python skills with comfort using libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
- • Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
- • Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
