- • Design advanced mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
- • Create deterministic problems that have exactly one verifiable correct answer, ensuring technical precision and reproducibility
- • Develop problems that test genuine mathematical understanding, not rote memorization or pattern recognition
- • Write complete, verified solutions for every problem, including step-by-step reasoning and logical justifications
- • Document all problem-solving processes clearly and rigorously in English to ensure clarity and auditability
- • Build computational workflows using Python and relevant libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy, pandas) where applicable to validate problem outputs
- • Ensure all submitted content meets high standards of technical accuracy, linguistic clarity, and structural consistency
- • Contribute to the creation of STEM training data used directly in AI training and evaluation pipelines at leading AI labs
- • Collaborate remotely with a global team to align problem design with evolving AI reasoning benchmarks
- • Maintain strict adherence to project timelines and deliverables within a 20-hour-per-week commitment
- • Work independently to produce high-quality, original mathematical content with minimal supervision
- • Adapt problem complexity to challenge state-of-the-art AI systems without relying on ambiguous or open-ended formulations
- • Ensure all mathematical constructs are grounded in established theory and avoid speculative or non-standard assumptions
- • Submit problems and solutions in a structured format suitable for integration into automated AI training systems
- • Maintain consistent quality across all deliverables over a 2-month project duration, with potential for extension
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience involving mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
- • Strong Python skills; comfort with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
- • Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
- • Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
