📋 Description

• Design advanced, deterministic mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
• Create problems that require genuine mathematical insight rather than pattern recognition or memorization, ensuring each has exactly one verifiable correct answer
• Develop complete, verified solutions for every problem, including step-by-step reasoning that is technically precise and logically rigorous
• Document the solution process clearly in English, ensuring reproducibility and alignment with established mathematical conventions
• Construct problems that reflect real-world mathematical workflows, including computational, symbolic, or proof-based approaches
• Utilize Python and associated libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy, pandas) to build and validate computational workflows where applicable
• Ensure all outputs are technically accurate, well-structured, and free of ambiguity or ambiguity in formulation or solution
• Contribute to the creation of high-quality STEM training data used directly in AI training and evaluation pipelines at leading AI research labs
• Maintain strict adherence to problem specifications: deterministic, uniquely solvable, and grounded in advanced mathematical theory
• Collaborate asynchronously with a global team to refine problem sets and ensure alignment with evolving AI evaluation standards
• Deliver work on schedule within a 2-month contract period, with potential for extension based on performance and project needs
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of technical quality and consistency
• Communicate clearly and concisely in English, ensuring all problem statements, solutions, and documentation meet professional academic standards
• Adapt problem complexity to challenge state-of-the-art AI systems without introducing ambiguity or non-deterministic elements
• Review and validate your own work for computational correctness, logical consistency, and pedagogical rigor
• Contribute to iterative improvements in problem design methodology based on feedback from AI model performance

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
• Strong research or industry experience involving mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
• Strong Python skills; comfort with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
• Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
• Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
• Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
