📋 Description
- • Design advanced, deterministic mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
- • Ensure every problem has exactly one verifiable correct answer, with no ambiguity or multiple interpretations
- • Develop complete, meticulously verified solutions that document each step of the reasoning process with technical precision
- • Create problems that test genuine mathematical understanding, not rote memorization or pattern recognition
- • Use Python and computational tools (e.g., numpy, scipy, pandas) to build reproducible workflows where applicable
- • Produce all content in clear, grammatically correct English with rigorous technical accuracy
- • Collaborate with AI training teams to ensure problem complexity aligns with state-of-the-art model evaluation needs
- • Submit problems and solutions in a structured format suitable for direct integration into AI training and benchmarking pipelines
- • Maintain high standards of reproducibility, consistency, and clarity across all deliverables
- • Work independently to meet project deadlines while ensuring technical integrity of all mathematical content
- • Adapt problem design to target specific reasoning gaps observed in current AI models across algebra, analysis, combinatorics, number theory, or applied domains
- • Avoid reliance on publicly available problem sets; prioritize original, novel problem creation that challenges cutting-edge systems
- • Review and refine problem statements based on feedback from internal evaluation teams to enhance difficulty and clarity
- • Document assumptions, constraints, and solution methodologies thoroughly to enable auditability and replication
- • Contribute to the development of standardized templates and quality control protocols for mathematical problem generation
- • Maintain strict adherence to project timelines and deliverables within a 2-month contract period, with potential for extension
- • Communicate proactively regarding progress, blockers, or need for clarification without requiring constant oversight
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience involving mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
- • Strong Python skills; comfort with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
- • Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
- • Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
