Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Design advanced mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
- • Create deterministic problems that have exactly one verifiable correct answer, ensuring technical precision and reproducibility
- • Develop problems that test genuine mathematical understanding, not rote memorization or pattern recognition
- • Write complete, verified solutions for every problem, including step-by-step reasoning and logical justification
- • Document the solution process clearly in English, ensuring accessibility and technical accuracy for AI training pipelines
- • Use Python and computational libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy, pandas) to build and validate computational workflows where applicable
- • Ensure all problem sets align with real-world mathematical workflows and reflect authentic research or applied mathematics contexts
- • Collaborate with AI training teams to ensure problem difficulty and structure are optimized for challenging state-of-the-art models
- • Maintain rigorous quality control over problem formulation, solution accuracy, and technical writing standards
- • Deliver high-quality, well-structured mathematical content on a consistent schedule within a 2-month project window
- • Contribute to the expansion of STEM training data used by leading AI labs to improve model reasoning in technical domains
- • Adapt problem complexity to target specific reasoning gaps in AI systems, avoiding trivial or overly simplistic formulations
- • Review and refine existing problem sets based on feedback from model performance and evaluation metrics
- • Ensure all outputs are free of ambiguity, logical errors, or computational inaccuracies
- • Work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict technical and formatting guidelines
- • Maintain clear communication regarding progress, challenges, and deliverables throughout the contract period
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience involving mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
- • Strong Python skills; comfort with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
- • Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
- • Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
🏖️ Benefits
- • Compensation of up to 40 USD per hour
- • Contract / part-time engagement at 20 hours per week
- • Project duration of 2 months with potential for extension
- • Immediate start available
- • Remote work arrangement
- • Opportunity to contribute directly to cutting-edge AI research at leading AI labs
