📋 Description

• Design advanced, deterministic mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
• Create problems that require genuine mathematical insight rather than pattern recognition or memorization, ensuring each has exactly one verifiable correct answer
• Develop complete, verified solutions for every problem, clearly documenting the logical reasoning and computational steps used
• Ensure all problem statements and solutions are technically precise, reproducible, and written in clear, professional English
• Build computational workflows using Python and associated libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy, pandas) where applicable to validate problem outcomes
• Contribute to high-quality STEM training datasets used directly in AI training and evaluation pipelines at leading AI research labs
• Collaborate remotely to deliver problems aligned with current research challenges in AI reasoning and mathematical generalization
• Maintain rigorous standards for problem design, avoiding ambiguity, multiple interpretations, or non-deterministic outcomes
• Adapt problem complexity to target state-of-the-art AI systems, pushing the boundaries of what current models can solve
• Document all assumptions, constraints, and solution methodologies to enable reproducibility and peer review
• Work within a 20-hour-per-week commitment over a 2-month project period, with potential for extension based on performance
• Deliver all outputs on schedule with meticulous attention to detail and technical accuracy

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
• Strong research or industry experience in mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
• Strong Python skills with comfort using libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
• Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
• Ability to design original, difficult mathematical problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
• Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
