Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Design advanced mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
- • Create deterministic problems that have exactly one verifiable correct answer, ensuring technical precision and reproducibility
- • Develop problems that test genuine mathematical understanding, not rote memorization or pattern recognition
- • Write complete, verified solutions for each problem, including step-by-step reasoning and logical justification
- • Document all problem-solving processes clearly and rigorously in English to support AI training and evaluation pipelines
- • Utilize Python and computational libraries such as numpy, scipy, and pandas to build and validate mathematical workflows where applicable
- • Ensure all outputs meet high standards of technical accuracy, clarity, and consistency for use by leading AI research labs
- • Contribute to the creation of high-quality STEM training data used directly in AI model development and benchmarking
- • Collaborate remotely with a distributed team to align problem design with evolving AI evaluation needs
- • Maintain strict adherence to problem specifications: no ambiguity, no multiple solutions, no open-ended prompts
- • Focus on areas including but not limited to algebra, analysis, combinatorics, number theory, and applied mathematical modeling
- • Deliver work on a part-time basis with a commitment of 20 hours per week over a 2-month project period, with potential for extension
- • Submit all deliverables in a structured format that enables seamless integration into automated AI training and testing systems
- • Ensure all mathematical content is original, challenging for state-of-the-art models, and reflective of real-world mathematical workflows
- • Maintain excellence in technical writing, with flawless grammar, precise terminology, and unambiguous notation in English
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience in mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
- • Strong Python skills with comfort using libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
- • Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
- • Ability to design original, difficult mathematical problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
🏖️ Benefits
- • Compensation of up to 40 USD per hour
- • Contract / part-time arrangement with 20 hours per week commitment
- • Project duration of 2 months with potential for extension
