📋 Description
- • Design advanced mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
- • Create deterministic problems that have exactly one verifiable correct answer, ensuring no ambiguity or multiple interpretations
- • Develop complete, verified solutions for each problem with clear, step-by-step documentation of the reasoning process
- • Craft problems that test genuine mathematical understanding rather than pattern recognition or memorization
- • Utilize Python and computational tools such as numpy, scipy, or pandas to build reproducible computational workflows where applicable
- • Ensure all problem statements, solutions, and documentation are technically precise, logically sound, and written in fluent, professional English
- • Contribute to high-quality STEM training datasets used directly in AI training and evaluation pipelines at leading AI research labs
- • Maintain rigorous standards for mathematical correctness, reproducibility, and clarity in all submitted outputs
- • Collaborate asynchronously with a global team to align problem design with evolving AI evaluation benchmarks
- • Deliver consistent weekly outputs within a 20-hour-per-week commitment over a 2-month project period, with potential for extension
- • Adapt problem complexity to challenge state-of-the-art AI systems without relying on computational brute force or obscure notation
- • Focus on areas including but not limited to abstract algebra, real analysis, number theory, combinatorics, and applied mathematical modeling
- • Verify all solutions independently using multiple methods to eliminate errors and ensure absolute technical accuracy
- • Document assumptions, constraints, and solution pathways explicitly to enable transparent evaluation by AI systems and human reviewers
- • Maintain strict adherence to formatting and submission guidelines for all problem-solution pairs
- • Prioritize originality in problem design to avoid duplication of existing benchmarks or publicly available questions
- • Contribute to iterative feedback loops by refining problems based on AI model performance and team input
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience involving mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
- • Strong Python skills; comfort with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
- • Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
- • Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
