Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Design advanced mathematical problems to train and evaluate frontier AI models with a focus on deep reasoning capabilities
- • Create deterministic problems that have exactly one verifiable correct answer, ensuring technical precision and reproducibility
- • Develop problems that test genuine mathematical understanding rather than pattern recognition or memorization
- • Write complete, verified solutions for each problem, including step-by-step reasoning and logical justification
- • Document the solution process clearly in English, ensuring accessibility and technical accuracy for AI training pipelines
- • Utilize Python and computational libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy, pandas) to build and validate computational workflows where applicable
- • Ensure all problem outputs are rigorously tested for correctness, uniqueness of solution, and alignment with real mathematical workflows
- • Contribute to high-quality STEM training data used directly by leading AI labs to enhance model reasoning in technical domains
- • Collaborate remotely with a distributed team to refine problem sets based on feedback and evaluation outcomes
- • Maintain strict adherence to deadlines and quality standards across a 2-month contract period with potential for extension
- • Work independently to produce original, challenging problems that push the boundaries of current AI reasoning capabilities
- • Apply expertise in proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics to design problems mirroring academic and research contexts
- • Ensure all deliverables are written in clear, precise, and grammatically correct English suitable for international AI development teams
- • Adapt problem complexity to target state-of-the-art AI systems, avoiding trivial or solvable-by-brute-force formulations
- • Validate computational workflows and symbolic derivations to eliminate ambiguity or multiple possible interpretations
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience involving mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics
- • Strong Python skills; comfort with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar
- • Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational approaches
- • Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
🏖️ Benefits
- • Compensation of up to 40 USD per hour
- • Contract / Part-time arrangement at 20 hours per week
- • Remote work with flexible scheduling
- • Immediate start available
- • 2-month project duration with potential for extension
- • Opportunity to contribute directly to cutting-edge AI research at leading AI labs
