- • Are you a meticulous guardian of data integrity, driven by a passion for accuracy and organization? Twilio Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented MDM Data Specialist to join our dynamic, remote-first team based in Colombia. In this pivotal role, you will be the frontline defender of our enterprise data's quality, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all systems. You will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining the "Golden Record" for our core data domains, primarily Customer and Product data, which forms the bedrock of our business operations and customer interactions.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to manage the entire lifecycle of our master data. This involves not just maintaining existing records but actively resolving data conflicts, identifying and merging duplicates, and ensuring that all data adheres to stringent Data Governance policies and standards. You will work closely with technical teams to optimize our Master Data Management (MDM) hubs, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and capable of supporting Twilio's rapid growth and innovative communication solutions. If you thrive on organizing complex information, possess a keen eye for detail, and are committed to eliminating data silos, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.
- • Key responsibilities include:
- • Owning and meticulously managing the "Golden Record" for critical data domains such as Customer and Product. This involves proactively identifying and resolving data conflicts, eliminating duplicate entries, and ensuring a single, authoritative source of truth.
- • Maintaining and enhancing data hierarchies, understanding complex relationships between data entities, and ensuring accurate cross-system mapping to support seamless data flow and integration.
- • Overseeing and refining the matching and merging processes within the MDM system to continuously improve the consolidation and accuracy of our data assets.
- • Establishing, measuring, and diligently monitoring key Data Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including Accuracy, Completeness, Timeliness, and Consistency, to provide clear insights into data health.
- • Performing in-depth root-cause analysis on any identified data discrepancies or anomalies, and subsequently leading and implementing effective remediation efforts to prevent recurrence.
- • Designing, developing, and implementing automated processes for data profiling, validation, and cleansing to enhance efficiency and ensure ongoing data quality at scale.
- • Actively supporting the development and enforcement of data governance standards, policies, and business rules, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- • Documenting critical data assets, including data lineage, business glossaries, and comprehensive data dictionaries, to promote understanding and facilitate data accessibility.
- • Facilitating and coordinating data stewardship activities across various business units, fostering a collaborative environment focused on data excellence.
- • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and data engineers, to understand data needs and implement solutions that enhance data usability and reliability.
- • Contributing to the continuous improvement of MDM processes and data quality frameworks, staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- • Ensuring that all data management activities comply with relevant privacy regulations and internal security policies.
- • Providing training and guidance to business users on data governance principles and best practices related to master data management.
- • Participating in data-related projects, offering expertise and ensuring that data quality and governance are central to project success.
- • Proactively identifying opportunities to leverage master data for enhanced business insights and operational efficiency.
- • Acting as a subject matter expert for master data within the organization, providing support and guidance to stakeholders.
- • Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards to visualize data quality trends and progress towards data governance goals.
- • Ensuring the integrity and consistency of data used for analytics, reporting, and decision-making processes.
- • Championing a data-driven culture throughout the organization, emphasizing the importance of high-quality master data.
- • Contributing to the strategic roadmap for data management and governance at Twilio.
- • This role is fully remote and based in Colombia, offering a flexible and inclusive work environment.
- • At Twilio, we are committed to building a future of communications powered by innovative technology and a strong, inclusive culture. As an MDM Data Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and trustworthiness of our data, directly contributing to our mission of empowering businesses and developers worldwide.
