đź“‹ Description

  • • Are you a seasoned Mechanical Engineer or a CAD specialist with a deep understanding of geometric constraint modeling and mechanism design? Do you possess hands-on expertise with SolveSpace, the powerful parametric 3D CAD tool? Handshake Technologies, Inc. is extending a unique opportunity for individuals like you to contribute to the cutting edge of Artificial Intelligence research through flexible, hourly contract work. This is not a conventional employment role, but rather a project-based engagement designed to leverage your practical engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills to train and refine AI models.
  • • In this pivotal role, you will act as a crucial bridge between complex mechanical engineering principles and the evolving capabilities of artificial intelligence. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously evaluate AI-generated content, providing invaluable feedback that guides the AI in comprehending intricate mechanical design tasks, engineering workflows, and the nuances of geometric constraint solving. This feedback loop is essential for developing AI systems that can accurately interpret, generate, and assist with mechanical design challenges.
  • • The work involves creating insightful, tool-related questions that probe the AI's understanding of mechanical design concepts. You will then critically review the AI's responses, assessing their accuracy, relevance, and applicability to real-world mechanical design and engineering scenarios. This requires a keen eye for detail, a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals, and the ability to articulate feedback clearly and constructively. Your contributions will directly impact the development of AI tools that aim to revolutionize how engineers approach design, simulation, and analysis.
  • • This opportunity is ideal for experienced SolveSpace users who have a background in or adjacent to roles such as Mechanical Engineer, Mechanism Design Engineer, Robotics Engineer, R&D Engineer, Kinematics Researcher, or CAD Designer. A solid foundation in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: geometric constraint modeling, mechanism design, or parametric 3D CAD specifically using SolveSpace; robotics CAD, kinematic analysis, or mechanical assembly workflows; annotating or labeling CAD models and engineering drawings; and reviewing mechanical designs for accuracy, performance, or design consistency. No prior AI or specialized technical training is required; your existing engineering expertise is the key asset.
  • • This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity, offering unparalleled flexibility. You can seamlessly integrate this work into your existing schedule, whether you are a full-time professional, a freelancer, or a student seeking supplementary income. The asynchronous nature of the work means you can contribute on your own terms, fitting tasks around your personal commitments. Projects become available periodically throughout the year, allowing for continuous engagement as your availability and project needs align.
  • • As an independent contractor, you will enjoy the freedom to work remotely from anywhere in the USA, provided you have a reliable internet connection and a functional desktop or laptop computer. The schedule is entirely flexible, with no minimum hour requirement, making it an accessible option for a wide range of professionals. Many contributors find they can comfortably dedicate approximately 5–20 hours per week to active projects, balancing their workload effectively.
  • • Your role is instrumental in advancing AI's understanding of the physical world. By applying your practical engineering experience, you will help shape the future of AI-powered design tools, ensuring they are robust, reliable, and truly beneficial to the engineering community. This is a chance to be part of an innovative initiative that bridges the gap between human expertise and artificial intelligence, contributing to advancements that could redefine engineering practices.
