📋 Description
- • Lead the mechanical engineering function at Kepler Communications, supporting the development and delivery of next-generation space hardware for real-time Internet access in space.
- • Oversee staffing, alignment, growth, and performance of the mechanical engineering organization through managers, team leads, and senior individual contributors.
- • Drive organizational leadership, develop engineering leaders, and ensure alignment with program needs and execution across integrated product teams (IPTs) and program teams.
- • Contribute to Kepler’s mission of providing real-time Internet access for space-based assets, enabling data-driven exploration and innovation through its commercial optical data relay constellation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience leading mechanical engineering teams in aerospace, space systems, or high-reliability hardware development.
- • Demonstrated ability to scale engineering organizations, develop talent, and align technical teams with program execution.
- • Strong background in mechanical design, analysis, and integration of spaceflight hardware, including structural, thermal, and mechanisms expertise.
- • Experience working within integrated product teams (IPTs) and managing cross-functional dependencies in complex engineering programs.
- • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
