- • Mechanical Technician (Prototyping) at Havoc AI Inc is a hands-on, build-focused role critical to transforming autonomous system concepts into tangible, testable hardware. You will be instrumental in rapidly prototyping next-generation defense and commercial maritime systems, directly contributing to mission-critical innovation where speed, precision, and adaptability are paramount.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include fabricating and assembling prototype hardware using traditional and advanced manufacturing techniques; operating 3D printers, CNC machines, and other fabrication equipment to produce custom components; performing hands-on assembly involving bonding, fastening, and structural builds; executing rapid prototyping cycles to validate mechanical designs; collaborating closely with engineering teams to refine designs based on real-world testing feedback; and supporting build, integration, and test efforts for autonomous systems, including occasional travel to Long Beach, CA for integration and testing.

🎯 Requirements
- • Experience with fabrication, assembly, or mechanical prototyping
- • Hands-on experience with tools such as 3D printers, CNC machines, or similar equipment
- • Strong mechanical intuition and problem-solving ability
- • Ability to work closely with engineers and interpret technical drawings or models
- • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative development environment
- • Experience with composite materials (e.g., carbon fiber) – preferred
- • Background in aerospace, robotics, automotive, or similar hardware-focused fields – preferred
- • Experience supporting prototype builds or experimental hardware programs – preferred
