📋 Description

• The Medical Coder role at WellSky Corporation is essential for ensuring accurate and compliant billing through proper ICD-10-CM code assignment, directly supporting healthcare agencies in receiving correct reimbursement and maintaining regulatory adherence.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing OASIS documentation, assigning accurate ICD-10-CM codes, identifying primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures, ensuring coding compliance with internal policies and OASIS standards, and recommending plan of care corrections when needed.

• In this role, the Medical Coder will develop expertise in OASIS and hospice coding, strengthen compliance knowledge, and gain experience in accurate medical billing processes that support client agency operations and financial integrity.

🎯 Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Coding Certified (HCS-D or BCHH-C)
