📋 Description
- • As the Medical Director of Population Health & Clinical Governance at Sharecare, Inc., you will be a pivotal physician leader, ensuring the highest standards of clinical integrity, quality oversight, and adherence to accreditation requirements across our innovative population health and care management programs.
- • This remote role is designed for a seasoned medical professional who thrives in a dynamic, data-driven environment, focusing on the strategic application of evidence-based medicine to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- • You will be instrumental in shaping and safeguarding the clinical soundness of our programs, from chronic condition management and preventive care initiatives to high-risk population interventions.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to provide physician leadership for clinical review and approval processes, ensuring that all program protocols, decision support tools, and member-facing content meet rigorous clinical standards and regulatory compliance.
- • A key aspect of this role involves ensuring our programs align with national standards, including those set by NCQA, and supporting organizational readiness for accreditation audits and quality reviews.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Informatics, Product, Operations, and Client Management, to embed clinical rigor into every stage of program design, development, and execution.
- • This is a hands-on leadership position, distinct from enterprise-wide medical strategy or direct patient panel management, emphasizing the practical application of clinical governance in a digital health context.
- • You will provide essential physician oversight for the clinical integrity of our chronic condition management programs, preventive care strategies, and initiatives targeting high-risk populations.
- • Ensuring consistent application of clinical standards and robust documentation practices across all programs will be a core function, bolstering the reliability and effectiveness of our interventions.
- • You will play a crucial role in supporting the clinical integrity of evidence-based initiatives such as diabetes prevention and weight management programs, ensuring they are grounded in the latest medical research and best practices.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve providing expert physician review and guidance for clinical content utilized by our nurses, health coaches, and care teams, ensuring it is up-to-date with national guidelines and preventive care recommendations.
- • You will champion the standardization of clinical approaches, aiming to reduce variability in care delivery and strengthen fidelity to established best practices across the organization.
- • Partnering with Clinical and Pharmacy Informatics teams, you will ensure the clinical appropriateness of code sets, rule logic, and decision support tools, enhancing the accuracy and utility of our technological platforms.
- • Your expertise will be vital in providing physician input into critical clinical data elements, documentation standards, and reporting logic, ensuring data accurately reflects clinical intent and outcomes.
- • As the physician voice within collaborative efforts, you will work alongside Product, Data Science, Quality, and Operations teams, ensuring clinical considerations are integrated from the outset of program design, product enhancements, and member communication strategies.
- • By embedding clinical oversight upstream, you will help mitigate compliance risks and reduce downstream rework, fostering a more efficient and effective operational framework.
- • You will also contribute to client-facing activities, participating in selected discussions where physician oversight or credibility is essential, and providing critical clinical input for RFPs and proposals.
- • Success in this role will be measured by strong performance in accreditation and quality standards, a reduction in compliance risks, the development of standardized, evidence-based clinical protocols and content, and the timely, effective physician review of critical processes.
- • Positive feedback from internal teams regarding the clarity and usability of clinical guidance will also be a key indicator of success, alongside the early and consistent integration of clinical input into product and program design.
