- • The Medical Innovation Associate at Atropos Health plays a critical role in transforming healthcare by building scalable pipelines that answer clinical and research questions using generative AI and real-world evidence. This role bridges clinical knowledge and AI innovation to improve patient outcomes and accelerate medical research.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with the Medical Director of Content Generation to develop and maintain a scalable content pipeline, curating clinician and consumer questions, converting clinical questions into structured ontologies (ICD-10, RxNORM, LOINC, CPT), metatagging content for search optimization, sourcing and integrating external evidence (studies, trials, payor policies), verifying outputs against literature, producing reusable code and documentation, leveraging LLMs and generative AI tools to generate diverse outputs (code, widgets, presentations, PDFs), building and consuming APIs, and collaborating cross-functionally with clinical, engineering, product, and customer success teams.

- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in applying generative AI to clinical content generation, gain hands-on experience with healthcare ontologies and real-world evidence platforms, strengthen technical and communication skills through end-to-end ownership of complex projects, and contribute to scalable solutions that directly impact healthcare delivery and research innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Daily hands-on practice with Python, R, or SQL — either natively or preferably in conjunction with generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, GPT-4, Cursor, Copilot)
- • Demonstrated ability to iterate toward high-quality outputs through structured, self-directed quality checks — owning the end-to-end process
- • Working knowledge of clinical terminology standards (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC, RxNORM/NDC) and ability to rapidly learn the clinical nuances of how these ontologies are applied in real-world healthcare
- • Ability to produce clean, reusable code and content that others can build on
- • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- • Ability to work within standard US business hours (any US time zone)
