- • Perform daily and month-end accounting close activities for stablecoin operations across multiple international subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- • Conduct in-depth accounting analysis to maintain the integrity and precision of financial statements related to stablecoin issuance, redemption, and reserve management.
- • Reconcile stablecoin ledger balances with on-chain transaction data and external custodial reports to verify asset integrity and detect discrepancies.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Treasury, Compliance, and Engineering to align accounting practices with blockchain transaction flows and regulatory requirements.
- • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments specific to stablecoin reserves, interest income, and transaction fees.
- • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and evidence for stablecoin-related financial transactions and controls.
- • Monitor and document internal controls over financial reporting for stablecoin operations, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and reduce risk.
- • Stay current with evolving regulatory frameworks and accounting standards applicable to digital assets and stablecoins in jurisdictions where Anchorage operates.
- • Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures for new stablecoin products and expanded geographic operations.
- • Participate in the implementation of automation tools and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in stablecoin accounting workflows.
- • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to senior leadership and regional finance teams on stablecoin performance, liquidity, and reserve adequacy.
- • Engage in continuous learning and professional development to deepen expertise in crypto asset accounting, blockchain technology, and institutional digital finance.
- • Maintain strict adherence to Anchorage Digital’s security protocols, including mandatory in-person onboarding and secure IT setup procedures.
- • Contribute to the culture of the Anchorage Village by actively participating in team collaboration, feedback sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- • Support the growth of the Accounting Center of Excellence in Porto by helping to scale processes, train new team members, and establish best practices for global stablecoin accounting.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- • Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in financial services or digital assets
- • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and international accounting standards
- • Proven experience with financial statement close processes and internal controls
- • Familiarity with blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, or stablecoin mechanics
- • Ability to work with complex data sets and reconcile on-chain transactions with ledger entries
