- • Own the end-to-end progressive delivery system including canary, blue/green, automated rollback, and soak periods for critical service paths across multiple Kubernetes clusters and regions.
- • Design, build, and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD across 40+ Pulumi (TypeScript) infrastructure stacks deployed in multi-region environments.
- • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for 15+ Dockerized services, ensuring reliable, repeatable, and measurable deployments with reduced lead time and MTTR.
- • Create and scale on-demand environment tooling such as preview environments and cell-creation systems to enable engineers to test changes safely and independently.
- • Treat internal engineering teams as customers by establishing SLAs, documentation, and feedback loops for developer platform tools — not ad-hoc support tickets.
- • Collaborate with Infra and SRE teams to design and implement multi-region rollouts, oncall tooling, and infrastructure automation that directly impacts deployment velocity and safety.
- • Lead the rollout of progressive delivery as the default deployment strategy across all engineering teams, ensuring adoption through measurable improvements in deployment success rates.
- • Identify and resolve top three deployment pain points within the first 30 days by partnering directly with agents and FDE engineering teams.
- • Ship the first version of cell-creation tooling or preview environment system within 60 days, improving developer autonomy and reducing environment provisioning time.
- • Establish a developer-platform roadmap in partnership with engineering leadership, aligning platform improvements with product velocity goals and incident reduction targets.
- • Operate and extend platform services written in Go, including the canary-manager, while maintaining TypeScript-based tooling and automation scripts.
- • Monitor and optimize deployment pipelines for reliability, speed, and observability, using metrics to drive iterative improvements in developer experience.
- • Maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) at scale using Pulumi (TypeScript) and Terraform, preventing sprawl through governance, versioning, and modular design.
- • Ensure all platform tooling is documented, tested, and monitored with clear ownership, incident response procedures, and oncall rotations.
- • Reduce deployment-related incidents by automating rollback triggers and validation checks based on real-world failure patterns observed in past incidents (e.g., Nov 29 config rollout, Dec 23 duplicate messages).
- • Enable faster, safer shipping for 1 million+ developers using Vapi’s platform by removing friction from the software delivery lifecycle.

- • You have a platform-as-a-product mindset — you treat internal engineers as customers, with SLAs, docs, and feedback loops, not tickets and ad-hoc help.
- • You’ve operated Pulumi (TypeScript) or Terraform at scale (40+ stacks, multi-region) and you’ve felt the pain when IaC sprawl gets ahead of you.
- • You’ve run ArgoCD or equivalent GitOps for deploying applications across multiple clusters.
- • You’ve built progressive delivery in production — canary, blue/green, automated rollback, soak periods. You can describe a real rollout that automated rollback caught.
- • You’ve designed CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) for many services and Dockerfiles, not just one repo.
- • You’ve built deploy tooling for on-demand environments — preview envs, dev deployments, or cell creation.
