📋 Description

• As a Member of Technical Staff, Full-Stack at Vapi Technologies Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of voice as humanity’s default interface by building and scaling the most configurable platform for deploying voice agents, directly contributing to a product used by over 600k developers and growing by 2,000+ daily.
• You will own end-to-end product development from concept to launch, working closely with customers to understand their needs and translate them into intuitive, high-impact features that solve real-world problems in voice agent orchestration, memory systems, and sandbox environments.
• Your work will focus on creating seamless, scalable, and delightful user experiences across multiple product lines, ensuring Vapi remains the most adaptable and powerful voice infrastructure for businesses worldwide.
• Day to day, you will engage directly with early and enterprise customers to gather feedback, identify pain points, and rapidly prototype solutions that save them time — such as streamlining agent configuration or improving response latency.
• You will design and implement full-stack features using modern web technologies, including React or similar frontend frameworks and Node.js, Python, or Go-based backends, ensuring high performance, reliability, and clean, maintainable code.
• You will architect and ship core product experiences like persistent memory systems for voice agents, enabling context-aware conversations across sessions, and enhance sandbox environments for safe testing and iteration.
• You will own multiple product lines such as MCP (Multi-Channel Platform) and Sandbox, taking full responsibility for their roadmap, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch optimization.
• You will collaborate closely with founders and a small, high-impact team of previous founders, contributing to a culture of ownership, experimentation, and rapid iteration where every engineer’s input shapes the product and company direction.
• You will participate in technical decision-making, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions, helping to elevate the team’s craft while learning from experienced builders who have scaled startups from zero to significant traction.
• You will contribute to a kind, mission-driven culture rooted in Canadian values of inclusivity and respect, while working alongside Tier-1 backed investors (YC, KP Seed, Bessemer) who believe in Vapi’s generational potential to redefine human-business interaction.
• Over time, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack engineering, real-time systems, voice AI integration, and product-led growth, gaining the rare opportunity to build foundational infrastructure that could become the standard interface for AI-powered business communication.
• You will achieve ownership not just in code, but in outcomes — seeing your work directly impact customer success, developer adoption, and the evolution of voice as a primary interface for enterprises globally.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping full-stack products in fast-paced environments
• Proven track record of working at an early-stage startup for 2+ years, demonstrating adaptability, initiative, and comfort with ambiguity
• Demonstrated ability to build beautiful, user-centric products that combine technical excellence with thoughtful design and usability
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend (e.g., React, TypeScript) and backend (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go) technologies, with experience in RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time systems
• Bonus: Experience founding or co-founding a startup, or building products from zero to one with measurable user adoption
