📋 Description

• Perform detailed take-offs for commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, with primary focus on plumbing and electrical components.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects by calculating material, labor, and equipment costs based on construction drawings and specifications.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure comprehensive and precise estimating.
• Utilize estimating software including PlanHub, BuildConnect, Bluebeam, and Stack to conduct take-offs, generate cost models, and maintain project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to clarify project scope, resolve ambiguities in design documents, and align estimating assumptions with project requirements.
• Support the preparation and timely submission of competitive bids by incorporating project risks, contingencies, and cost breakdowns into proposals.
• Assist in evaluating project opportunities by providing cost feasibility insights and contributing to scheduling recommendations.
• Maintain organized and standardized estimating records to ensure auditability and consistency across projects.
• Improve estimating accuracy and workflow efficiency through effective and consistent use of digital estimating tools and standardized processes.
• Contribute to project planning discussions by delivering clear cost breakdowns that inform procurement decisions and overall project budgeting.
• Ensure all bid submissions are complete, error-free, and submitted on schedule to support client competitiveness in commercial construction markets.
• Work within U.S. business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST) to align with client time zones and support real-time collaboration with U.S.-based teams.
• Deliver accurate and timely estimates that directly contribute to profitable project bids and the company’s growth in commercial construction.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an MEP Estimator
• Experience estimating commercial construction projects
• Experience preparing take-offs for plumbing and electrical systems
• Proficiency with PlanHub, BuildConnect, Bluebeam, and Stack
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing and electrical systems
• Ability to manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously
