- • Build, optimize, and maintain batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines for federal and private sector clients.
- • Lead the design and implementation of scalable ETL processes across complex, distributed systems using AWS services and cloud-native tools.
- • Develop and manage data lake architecture to store, organize, and retrieve both structured and unstructured data at scale.
- • Utilize AWS EventBridge and S3 Event Notifications to orchestrate and schedule data workflows with precision and reliability.
- • Transform and prepare data for downstream consumption using AWS Glue, Python, and SQL, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
- • Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and compliance across all systems in alignment with federal and organizational security standards.
- • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams and data scientists to enable reporting, analytics, and machine learning model development.
- • Mentor junior data engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to foster team growth and consistency.
- • Document all data pipelines, transformation logic, data standards, and data product specifications for auditability and operational continuity.
- • Adhere strictly to organizational security and privacy policies to safeguard sensitive government and proprietary data at all times.
- • Work on-site at the Vienna, VA office three to five days per week, with hybrid arrangements possible at supervisor discretion.
- • Support mission-focused technology initiatives for the U.S. Government and private sector clients through agile, commercial-grade data solutions.
- • Contribute to a culture that values leadership, problem-solving, and excellence, particularly among veterans, military spouses, and mission-driven professionals.
🎯 Requirements
- • Must be a U.S. Citizen
- • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience
- • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- • Hands-on experience with Pandas, PySpark, and AWS Glue
- • Deep understanding of ETL frameworks, data lake design, and cloud-based architecture
