Mid-level Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

📋 Description

• • As a Mid-level Backend Engineer at Ostrom GmbH, you will play a key role in building Europe’s leading energy management platform to deliver fair, clean energy to everyone, directly contributing to the company’s mission of accelerating the energy transition.
• • You will design and build backend solutions from scratch, participate in tech stack decisions, develop scalable systems for renewable energy services, and integrate new product lines such as smart meters, dynamic pricing, and EV charging within a cross-functional team focused on reducing operational load and enabling faster growth.
• • You will join a diverse Tech team of 20 people (16 engineers, 4 in Product) within a company of 50+ employees from 16+ nationalities, with 46% female representation, backed by over €40M in funding and committed to a flat hierarchy, transparent culture, and sustainable innovation.
• • You will grow your expertise in modern backend technologies, TypeScript, API design, relational databases, and CI/CD workflows while gaining experience in greenfield projects and AI-augmented development practices, supported by regular 1:1s, biannual development cycles, and an annual learning budget.
