Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of new features for Jitterbit’s Cloud Application portfolio, ensuring every line of code you ship is performant, secure, and maintainable at global scale.
  • • Collaborate daily with Distinguished Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and DevOps to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions that delight our users and extend our market-leading position.
  • • Build and refine robust, distributed systems that operate flawlessly 24Ă—7Ă—365, leveraging Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, CSS3, Nginx, Tomcat, Kafka, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes in a cloud-native, microservices environment.
  • • Take full lifecycle ownership—from whiteboard sketches and technical design docs through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, production monitoring, and post-release optimization—so every release raises the bar for reliability and user experience.
  • • Champion clean architecture and best practices: write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; enforce code-review standards; and continuously refactor to reduce technical debt while accelerating feature velocity.
  • • Mentor and pair-program with junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth that scales as fast as our platform does.
  • • Dive deep into performance tuning and scalability challenges, using data-driven insights to shave milliseconds off critical paths and ensure sub-second response times across multi-region deployments.
  • • Experiment fearlessly with emerging technologies—whether it’s serverless patterns, advanced observability stacks, or next-gen data stores—and bring the best ideas back to the team through concise proof-of-concepts and documented RFCs.
  • • Contribute to our open, collegial, and fully remote culture by leading virtual tech talks, writing internal blog posts, and participating in architecture guilds that keep us aligned across time zones from Rio to Reykjavik.
  • • Influence product direction by translating customer feedback and telemetry into actionable engineering roadmaps, ensuring that every sprint delivers measurable value to thousands of global enterprises.
  • • Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers to craft runbooks, chaos-engineering tests, and self-healing automation that turn potential incidents into learning opportunities and keep our SLAs green.
  • • Drive security-first development: embed threat-modeling, static analysis, and dependency scanning into the SDLC so our customers can trust their most sensitive data to our platform.
  • • Balance speed and quality by leveraging feature flags, blue-green deployments, and canary releases, enabling rapid iteration without compromising the stability of production workloads.
  • • Celebrate wins and learn from failures in blameless retrospectives that reinforce our “best idea wins” philosophy, regardless of hierarchy or geography.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3–6 years of professional experience building and shipping full-stack cloud applications in production, with demonstrable expertise in at least one modern front-end framework (Angular strongly preferred) and one server-side runtime (Node.js strongly preferred).
  • • Solid grasp of distributed-system fundamentals—concurrency, consistency, partitioning, and fault tolerance—and hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL data modeling, query optimization, and schema migrations on platforms such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Elasticsearch.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
  • • Nice-to-have: prior exposure to Kafka or other event-streaming platforms, CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or ArgoCD, and cloud cost-optimization techniques on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Work-from-anywhere flexibility with a stipend for home-office setup and co-working memberships, so you can code from Copacabana or a cabin in the Alps—your choice.
  • • Annual learning and development budget (courses, conferences, certifications) plus dedicated “innovation Fridays” to explore new technologies and pet projects.
  • • Competitive compensation package including equity, performance bonuses, and a generous PTO policy that actually encourages you to unplug and recharge.
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and eligible dependents, plus mental-wellness and mindfulness app subscriptions to keep you balanced.
