📋 Description

• Architect and evolve the backbone of Hostinger’s global platform: design, build, and maintain high-throughput PHP services that serve 4 million active users across 150 countries. Your APIs will power everything from lightning-fast website builders to AI-driven hosting recommendations.
• Own the full development lifecycle—from whiteboard sketches and RFCs to production deployment and post-release monitoring. You’ll write clean, test-covered PHP code (Laravel preferred) that scales horizontally and withstands traffic spikes of 10× normal load during product launches.
• Collaborate shoulder-to-shoulder with front-end squads, product managers, and UX researchers to translate ambitious feature specs into rock-solid REST endpoints. Expect daily stand-ups, weekly architecture guilds, and monthly cross-team hack-days where your ideas can become MVPs in 48 hours.
• Optimize for milliseconds and megabits: profile queries, refactor bottlenecks, and introduce caching layers (Redis, Memcached) so that every endpoint returns in <200 ms P95. You’ll set SLOs, instrument metrics with Prometheus, and wake up proud knowing your systems stay green at 99.9 % uptime.
• Secure the castle: implement OAuth2, rate-limiting, and input validation to protect user data and keep Hostinger a trusted name. You’ll run threat-modeling sessions, partner with our InfoSec team, and champion secure-coding guilds across the engineering org.
• Integrate and extend: wire up payment gateways, domain registrars, email providers, and AI services through resilient third-party API integrations. When a vendor deprecates an endpoint on Friday evening, you’ll calmly ship a backward-compatible adapter before Monday coffee.
• Keep our data house in order: design MySQL schemas, craft Eloquent models, and write raw SQL when performance demands it. You’ll set up read replicas, tune indexes, and migrate terabytes of customer data with zero downtime using blue-green deployments and feature flags.
• Containerize and automate: package services in Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes, and push through GitLab CI pipelines that run PHPUnit, Psalm, and Cypress suites on every merge request. You’ll champion Infrastructure-as-Code and help migrate legacy monoliths to microservices.
• Document like you mean it: produce OpenAPI specs, sequence diagrams, and runbooks so that any engineer can onboard in hours, not weeks. You’ll also record Loom demos and host internal tech talks to spread tribal knowledge.
• Level up the team: review pull requests with empathy, mentor juniors through pair programming, and propose RFCs that shape Hostinger’s technical roadmap for the next three years. Your voice will influence choices on message queues (RabbitMQ vs Kafka), event sourcing, and edge computing.
• Stay curious: budgeted 10 % innovation time lets you experiment with PHP 8.3 fibers, serverless Laravel Vapor, or Rust sidecars. Whatever keeps Hostinger two steps ahead of the competition.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional PHP development with demonstrable expertise in Laravel or Symfony
• Solid grasp of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns; you write code that others enjoy reading
• Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication, versioning, and rate-limiting
• Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and ORMs; you can optimize queries and design scalable schemas
• Familiarity with Docker and Git; bonus for CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes exposure
