- • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer challenges and translate them into technical solutions for WEX Benefits platform.
- • Design, test, code, and instrument new features and services within the employer benefits technology ecosystem.
- • Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to ensure quality and reliability in software delivery.
- • Implement and enhance Microservice and Vertical Slice Architectures to improve system modularity and scalability.
- • Support live applications through proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous operational improvement.
- • Analyze existing systems and processes to identify performance bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
- • Build and consume RESTful APIs using C# and ASP.NET to enable seamless data exchange across services.
- • Work with modern relational databases including MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL for data storage and querying.
- • Develop and maintain modern web user interfaces using frameworks such as Angular or React.
- • Participate in code reviews with senior team members and managers to ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
- • Independently apply team processes and best practices to assigned tasks while maintaining high code quality and performance.
- • Engage in continuous learning of emerging technologies and apply them to improve product and development practices.
- • Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth within the engineering team.
- • Use data to measure outcomes, inspect system behavior, and drive informed engineering and product decisions.
- • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that align with business goals and customer needs.
- • Stay current with industry trends in software design, architecture, and development methodologies.
- • Contribute to the evolution of the team’s engineering culture through feedback, process improvements, and innovation.
- • Focus on delivering scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions within a remote-first environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; OR demonstrable equivalent experience
- • Strong experience in software engineering with proficiency in C#
- • Experience building and consuming REST APIs using ASP.NET
- • Experience with modern RDBMS (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- • Experience with modern web UI frameworks (Angular, React)
- • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
